"Decent cover, but I’d watch the add-ons"
I went with Tesco car insurance mostly because the basic cover seemed to include what I actually needed. The documents were fairly clear, to be fair, and it had the usual bits you’d expect.

That said, I did get the feeling you need to keep your eyes open. A few things I’d assumed might be included turned out to be extras, so the price can start creeping up if you’re not careful. I ended up reading the policy wording more than once because I didn’t fully trust what was included at first glance.

Overall, it’s not bad, just not something I’d call amazing. It’s fine if you go through everything properly and don’t assume the cheaper-looking price includes all the cover you might want.

"Fair payout in the end"
The claim took a little longer than I expected, but I’m grateful everything got sorted out and the payout felt fair. Overall, I had a decent experience and would use them again.

I put my claim in expecting the usual runaround you get with these things, but it was actually handled quickly. No real fuss, no mysterious delays or excuses, and everything was sorted fine in the end.

I cancelled my policy, though I’m still a bit unsure whether it officially started online or over the phone because the timeline wasn’t very clear. It did get sorted in the end, but it took longer than I expected and I wasn’t always sure when I’d hear back or what stage it was at. The staff I spoke to were polite, so it wasn’t a bad experience overall, just a bit muddled and slower than it needed to be.

"Took some chasing, but it was resolved"
I had an issue with my policy and, to be honest, it took longer than I was comfortable with to get a proper response. I made sure to keep notes of who I spoke to and followed up a couple of times, which was a bit frustrating. Once the right person actually looked into it, they explained everything clearly and got it sorted. I wouldn’t say the process was ideal, but it ended up okay in the end

I used tescoinsurance.com and, uh, the documents were clear and matched what I was expecting. I didn’t spot any weird wording or missing details, and everything lined up with what I’d been told online. Made sorting out my policy easy, so yeah, I’m happy enough with it overall.

"Refund came through eventually"
I had to cancel my order and then wait for the refund. It did come through in the end, but it took a bit longer than I was expecting. The staff were fine when I spoke to them, I just didn’t get many updates along the way. Maybe that’s normal for refunds, but I wasn’t totally sure what was happening for a while.

Sorting out my insurance online was actually quick and straightforward. The steps were clear, I didn’t get confused or stuck anywhere, and the payment went through without any hassle. Took less time than I thought it would. Only thing I’d say is don’t rush through it, make sure all your details are right before you pay. Other than that, nice and simple.

"Renewal price was actually decent"
Got my renewal through and I was expecting it to shoot up like everything else seems to atm, but it was actually fair. I did have a quick look around at a couple of other quotes and Tesco Insurance was still close enough, so I just stuck with them.

Best bit was I didnt have to phone up and do the whole haggling thing for ages. Was just nice to get a renewal that didnt feel like a total rip off for once

"Repair network made things simple"
Had to go through the Tesco Insurance repair network after a bit of a bump, and to be fair it was much easier than I expected. They sent me to a garage, got me booked in quite quickly, and I was kept updated along the way. Car came back clean and looking properly sorted, which was the main thing. It took a few days, but given everything, it wasn’t a big hassle. Happy with how it went.

"Communication was alright, but could’ve been clearer"
I had to get in touch with Tesco Insurance a couple of times about my policy. They did get back to me and sorted most of it in the end, but it felt a bit slow, and I had to repeat myself at one point. The staff were polite, so I can’t really complain too much, but I’m not sure how to explain it, it just didn’t feel very clear what was happening next. Overall, not awful, but not brilliant either.

"Direct debit issue again"
My direct debit didn’t go through again, which is frustrating. I’d appreciate it if this could be sorted out properly so I don’t have to keep dealing with the same payment issue.

The price was okay, so I can’t really complain too much, but I was still expecting a bit more for what I paid. It’s not a bad deal or anything, just kind of annoying because it didn’t feel as budget-friendly as I hoped

"Customer service was fine, just a bit slow"
I had to get in touch with Tesco Insurance to make a change to my policy. The person I spoke to was nice enough, polite and all that, and they did get it sorted in the end.

The main thing was the wait. It felt like I was hanging around for quite a while, and then I got passed to someone else, which was just... yeah, a bit frustrating when you just want it done.

So not a bad experience, really. Nothing went wrong exactly, it just could have been quicker and a bit smoother. Average overall, I’d say.

"Been reliable for me so far"
I’ve used it for a while and haven’t had any issues. It just feels safe enough, and I don’t really find myself worrying about it, so... yeah, it’s been reliable for me
